The closest Lums Restaurant to Edwardsville was in Alton, Illinois, which was about 15 miles away. The Lums Restaurant in Alton, Illinois was located at 200 Piasa Street. The address is now 200 Piasa Court, which is a parking lot for the Alton Belle Casino. The restaurant was open from 1962 to 1991.Dr. Neil Gale, Ph.D.https://www.blogger.com/profile/10605531495401356831noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2698674352470153088.post-48580190706451649622023-08-25T12:03:20.872-05:002023-08-25T12:03:20.872-05:00There was a Lums in Edwardsville, Illinois for a ...There was a Lums in Edwardsville, Illinois for a time also.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2698674352470153088.post-4238398945688925582023-08-14T19:49:26.500-05:002023-08-14T19:49:26.500-05:00I worked at the AH location probably from 1974-197...I worked at the AH location probably from 1974-1973Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2698674352470153088.post-34864122734886709022023-08-05T21:08:29.129-05:002023-08-05T21:08:29.129-05:00I worked for them as a manager/ assistant from 197...I worked for them as a manager/ assistant from 1972 to 1977. Then he moved to the Glen Ellyn Lum's located on Roosevelt Rd. and was there from about 1970-1972? Loved their onion rings. They offered complimentary Andes Mint Candies in a glass bowl at the cashier/hostess podium. The Schaumburg location eventually became the Black Pearl restaurant.
