I lived in the Belmont-Central neighborhood and my mom bought bakery goods at Schlosser's Bakery on Belmont Avenue. I don't know if they were affiliated with the Schlosser's Bakery on Devon. This was in the 50's and early 60's. M,M good!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2698674352470153088.post-65821484859884483302023-08-30T00:13:42.413-05:002023-08-30T00:13:42.413-05:00I worked at Arfa's Bakery on Devon in the 1970...I worked at Arfa's Bakery on Devon in the 1970's. The owner was a Holocaust Survivor from Poland. It was my first real job and I was paid $1.35 per hour which wasn't a lot. However, the Arfas let me take home many baked goods for my family. Boy, did we get fat. 😁😁😁Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2698674352470153088.post-67408601176133669452019-01-02T16:20:53.736-06:002019-01-02T16:20:53.736-06:00I remember the awesome scent of the air inside Tel...I remember the awesome scent of the air inside Tel Aviv.... when I was a little kid and would accompany my mother on her shopping walks on Devon, we visited probably most of these businesses, although I only really remember Tel Aviv by name. They would always give me a little cookie or snack when we went in there, as my mom waited for her paper number to be called. Wow... I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!Vidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15263296693491057667noreply@blogger.com
